'The Dance' is a piece from the 'Hidden Beauty' collection, capturing the raw essence of empowerment and self=acceptance. In this painting,  a plus size woman exudes confidence as she dances freely beneath the gentle glow of the full moon. Her naked form is a celebration of self-love and resilience in the face of societal pressures and judgment. 

The symbolism of the full moon serves as a reminder of the inner light that shines within everyone, regardless of size or shape.  Despite the shadows of negativity and prejudice that may attempt to dim this light, the woman in the painting pushes through the hurt and embraces her existence unapologetically. 

'The Dance' is my love letter to all plus size women, urging viewers to recognise and appreciate the beauty and strength that resides within everyone.  It invites contemplation on the transformative power of self-acceptance.
